Let’s fight against the celebration of Louis Faidherbe (1818-1889) and colonialism in our cities!
The “Faidherbe must fall!” campaign was launched on the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Louis Faidherbe, on 3 June 2018.
The NGO Survie Nord originated this campaign that draws together the Critical History Workshop (Atelier d’Histoire Critique), the Africa Campaign (Collectif Afrique), the United Front of Migrations and Working Class Neighbourhoods (Front Uni des Immigrations et des Quartiers Populaires), the Senegalese Campaign Against Faidherbe’s Glorification (Collectif sénégalais contre la célébration de Faidherbe) and the Illegal / Unlawful Migrants Comitte (Comité des Sans Papiers 59).
